Austin has always felt a little behind.
Born cranky with a strong brow, Fred Flintstone legs, and the sneaking suspicion that everyone else got a memo he didn't, KNUCKLEDRAGGER STUDIOS is his oldest joke about himself – that somewhere in the evolutionary timeline, he got left behind.
But eventually, it became a philosophy.
Because feeling under-evolved never stopped him from creating stories worth telling. If anything, it's the fuel — that quiet chip on the shoulder that says keep going anyway.
That's what we build here. Not in spite of feeling behind, but because of it.

Austin Fields
Founder, Music Composer, Engineer
Raised deep in the heart of Texas, Austin has spent the last 15 years making music as a touring and session musician before stepping into the world of music composition and audio engineering in 2020.
Since then, Austin has composed and written original music for 17 films and several podcasts.
In 2024, Austin and Kristen started production on his original series, Longtime, First Time, in which he acts as the head writer, audio engineer, sound designer, and music composer.
Kristen Fields
Executive Producer
Kristen Fields is a creative producer and actor who works on the editorial and creative direction side of Knuckledragger Studios.
Kristen has worked as the showrunner and Executive Producer on the Financial Feminist Podcast since 2022.
Kristen joined Austin as the head producer for their original series, Longtime, First Time, where she also lends her voice as the formidable Kit Greenville.
